Please note that this Osage Orange handle is in the Unique Hickory section because it has several non-active wormholes and is therefore not eligible for the same warranty as our Osage Orange handles in their own category.

Our unique hickory handles are beautiful, but not as strong as hickory. On shorter length handles you will not notice a significant difference in performance or strength. Curly maple handles of longer lengths are best suited for display pieces rather than “users”.

These handles are elegantly and ergonomically sculpted, ending in a generous palm swell. The handle comes with a “cone-end” below the palm swell. This feature presents multiple benefits to the handle, such as protection against damage to the palm swell when fitting. Once fitted you have the option of leaving it as-is, cutting it off to the curvature of the swell or rounding it over to add a classy, vintage style bulb end. Your handle will come with 1 walnut wedge and a coat of boiled linseed oil for preservation.
